Verbird Newsletter - 2024/05/17

Welcome to the Verbird Newsletter! Our goal is to provide you with the info you need to progress on your journey as a music creator.

This week we cover spacey reverb plugins, review the auto-mastering and music distribution platform LANDR, look at a Danish heavy metal classic, and more.

My Favorite Reverb Plugin

This post will highlight my favorite reverb plugin as of 2024. Everybody has different needs for a reverb plugin. Some want an authentic sounding spring reverb, some want something low price, some people may just want massive reverb that also happens to come with delays and 20 different modes..

Real Reviews: LANDR

LANDR is an auto-mastering site, distribution platform, marketplace for hiring help, sample library, plugin provider, learning course provider, whew... Can one platform do all of those things well? Read the full post to find out.

I have extensive experience with their auto-mastering and music distribution platform and share my honest experience in this post.

Expand Your Ears

"Expand Your Ears" is a curated section in our newsletter designed to broaden your musical horizons. Discover new sounds and genres outside your comfort zone, igniting fresh inspiration for your creative journey.

Sadurn - Radiator

Genre: Indie Folk

The first time I’d heard of Sadurn was when they opened for Alex G in Philadelphia a few years back. The show was amazing - it was one of the few times where I hear songs live and am instantly hooked. They deliver a stripped back, folk sound with catchy melodies and unique vocals.

King Diamond - Abigail

Genre: Metal

Those interested in concept albums, look no further than this 1987 metal classic. This album is packed with catchy melodic guitar hooks, an amazing and unique vocal performance, plus a narrative horror story.

Product Spotlight: Fresh Releases

KORG- Gadget VR

Korg getting into the VR game is one of the last things I expected to read this week, but here we are. Originally released back in 2023 as early access, KORG’s Gadget VR is now fully released and boy is it something. Check out their release video to get more details but you can think of it as a virtual studio with 16 KORG gadgets available for you to play with and make music.

Thanks for reading. If you liked it, please help us out and spread the word to a friend or two!
